Chikkamagaluru: Young girl with job offer abroad dies because of pothole on road

Daijiworld Media Network – Chikkamagaluru (EP)

Chikkamagaluru, Nov 4: A young girl who had gone with her father for passport verification to go abroad fell on road because of a pothole and died.

Sindhooja(23) the deceased girl is from Tipu Nagar in Chikkamagaluru. She had passed her engineering and obtained a job offer abroad. She had applied for passport and was going for its verification along with her father on the bike when the incident happened.

They did not notice a large pothole on the road near Dandaramakki. The bike got down into it and lost balance. Sindhooja fell down and suffered serious injuries especially on the head. Though she was admitted to the hospital at Hassan, she died without responding to treatment.

The father of the deceased has lodged a complaint in traffic police station that his daughter died due to damaged road. Several organizations protested blocking the highway after the death of the girl. People have vented anger in social networks against officials for not having closed the potholes.

Near pumpwell exactly opposit to Omega Hospital may be 3 months back road was dug to open the drainage chamber. That area a barricaded for a month time and later they closed the chamber leaving the entire area which was dug to open the chamber.
Now it has become a huge pond approximately measuring 3 meters by 5meters. Many two wheeler accidents took place including myself last week. Traffic police are standing very next to that pond and also they have an office just 10 meters away from that area.
Until there is a major accident with an innocent death our police or the corporation will not repair it.

Tragic that our system is such that we make these politicians demigods. We keep them in higher pedastal than God himself. And that is why they are is a supernatural world where they think, they are rightfully tye owners of the voters and they are there only to put us in misery and they just make money. Evry politician getting richer by the year by the crores, but no work done. They think we are subjects to be subjected to misery and we tolerate it because this misery is bestowed on us by the demigod. And it is our duty to suffer in silence. Because suffering itself is like a prasada for us from the demigod. Oh dear God our creator, have mercy on us and give us all some sense. Politicians are public servants. And treat them like one. If we sobt change this mindset, we will continue to suffer and die without a cause, just like the unfortunate girl. Who lost what ??

Yes, all should unite and fight at the court to put the thieves behind the bar. We have elected them to serve the public but they serve themselves. We have so many lawyers; if they become national devotees they can come forward to punish the culprits.
A district level public committee consisting selfless like minded people is to be formed to fight against the corruption. The public are ready to support in all ways including financial help for a good cause.

Shocked !!! May her soul rest in eternal peace.... Pot holes, are a scourge, for Indian travelers, especially so, for two wheelers.... thousands perish n countless maimed for life. Never ride without a helmet.... Mumbai metropolis, the richest city, continues to have potholes.. roads in towns n villages would be nightmarish !! Two wheelers have certainly been transformed, into vehicles of death......

No point in blaming the roads when one does not wear helmets. In this case it is clear to me that if the pillion rider was wearing helmet , she would be alive today.

Wear helmets for your own safety , not for avoiding fines from traffic police.

Sajan, Kerala : Sir tried to understand what Robert Pais, Mangalore told, he clearly mentioned about this incident. He has not told all accidents. Still life lost is lost only. we are helpless. and one more point I want to bring to your notice. the road to Kasargod from talapady is worst than what we have in Mangalore. People who do travel daily to even my office keeps on telling the situation of kasargod roads which is coming under Kerala territory. I hope you understand the reason why I mentioned the Kerala roads.

For them it is easy to give compensation from tax payer's money and ultimately we people only suffer from tax burden. But real culprits dont get lesson , If anyone want to stop these incidants in future , the concenrend official's should be terminated from their job and put in prison for 10 years
