Media Release

Mangaluru, Nov 5: The Rajyotsava Programme in Shakthi PU College, Shakthi Residential School and Gopalakrishna Pre-School in Shakthinagar was inaugurated by Prof Dhananjaya Kumble, assistant professor, department of Kannada, Mangalore University. He offered the flower petals to the feet of Kannada Rajeshwari and addressed the gathering. He said that Kannada is not only a language but a combination of great culture and tradition and he gave a call to the students to safeguard the interests of this rich language.

“In recent years, we can see an attack of foreign languages on our native language. The values can be inculcated fully only through the mother tongue. Therefore, all of us should give utmost respect to our mother tongue first,” he said.
