Mangaluru: Bike-borne inebriated youths create ruckus with private bus

Mangaluru, Nov 5: In a bizarre incident that occurred at Suratkal of the city, two inebriated, bike-borne, youths did not allow a private bus transporting passengers to overtake them and created ruckus on the road.

In addition, the youths drove their bike in a wayward manner on the road and created disturbance to other commuters also. They also tried to assault the passengers on the bus, when they objected to their erratic behaviour.

More than 50 people were travelling in the private bus. The bike-borne youths used abusive language towards the driver of the bus and did not allow it to overtake them. The passengers in the bus have captured the act of the youths on their mobile and have shared the same on the social media and requested the public to share the same till the matter reaches RTO. The youths were also not wearing the helmet.

The registration number as per the information given by the passengers on the bus is KA 19 EX 8589.

    Very sad that youngsters behaving like this Drunken driving can cause seriosu accodents as it effects reactionary abilities. I am of the view that Alcohol is the root cause of many accidents and problems in life It destroys the person and also damage the family High time goverment bans this deadly liquid and remove it from the list

    I should really appreciate the 50 passengers travelling in this private bus because of their courage to face these 2 bikers. I feel really pity for these 2 coward bike riders who have gone inside the bus and the 50 courageous passengers have done nothing to these 2 bike riders. This is our Mangalore today. Good going.

    Without seeing the video I can say it's bus driver who had provoked him. They like loud horns, stop the bus in the middle of road, it doesn't matter if local or highway.
    Don't give side for other vehicles.

    The Bus Driver would have surely done something before this video, we are only watching one side of the video. Bus Drivers are not saints and think road is their property.

    Legally, the bus passengers should be booked for intimidating the bikers and disturbing the public order. The bike riders are riding their bike with total control and why the hell, bus driver wants to overtake a vehicle moving a head.
    Under MV act, you should maintain a prescribed distance between the vehicles and the vehicle driver at the back is responsible to maintain such distance. The bus driver is trying to mow them down, while bus passengers are threatening them with abuses.
    The bus should be confiscated and all should be booked for such irresponsible act

    only middle aged people who go by two wheeler in front of the city buses and pedestrians understand this situation if the following points are observed wrt buses :what is the speed limit for buses in mangalore city roads-is the mandatory speed governor working in these buses-do the authorities check this. most of the time the buses honk harshly and come close to the rear end of two wheelers with the conductor blowing whistle like a train horn and the cleaner of the bus shouts as though he is driving away cattle.all authorities wake up and conduct a flash drive when some person is crushed under the wheels of such buses driven haphazardly ,thats itthen it is back to square one.how many buses stop inside bus bays earmarked if they are there,which are the authorised /alloted bus stops as per the authorities.the buses are poor mans transport system no doubt about it but at the same time these are the agents of death too .if there is a traffic jam the real behaviour of these bus drivers comes out.Nobody checks the speed and the rash negligent driving of these buses beyond city limits .check points are all within the city and priorily known.the vaccumm horns will come alive in these outside city zones.all these wrong doings are wiped off by citing the reason of maintaining timing .

    spot on..the traffic police, RTO and the station police all get mamool from these guys that is why they do not give any damn to their rusty behaviour. Just do some drama like removal of horns etc for one or two days.

    bus guys are not saints in namma kudla. one of the worst breed of people. Must have done something to the bikers. otherwise, they will definitely not trouble the bus guys.
    This bus and rickshaw fellows are third rated. No manners at all.

    Bus driver with the help of other passengers could have tamed this two guys. However, he used his senses to record the episode in mobile. Next we have to wait and see how traffic police will deal with these guys. Should be belonging to some political party.

    Firstly, why is the private bus driver in a hurry to overtake? These private bus drivers shouldn’t be supported at an cost. The rash way they drive in the city limits, haven’t seen in any other cities in India. Instead of taking action on the bike rider, severe action has to be taken on the city’s bus drivers.

    Looks like to bike rider or his friend commenting.

    Its not only the bus driver even the passengers were upset in the video that means the riders were doing it purposely.

    I have seen passengers taking the the bus driver to task whenever he drives erratically on the road. At least in this case, i'm with the Driver and Passengers of the bus.
