United Ways of Vision Celebrates Second Foundation Day

Mumbai, Aug 19: United Ways of Vision (UWV) celebrated its second Foundation Day, by offering Holy Mass at St Francis De Sales (SFS) Church, Nallasopara (East), here recently.

SFS parish priest Fr Agnelo Lawrence was the chief guest. He announced the release of Appeal Letters for UWV’s forthcoming programme on Saturday October 17, a Konkani drama, 'Mhataro Chorbela'.

SFS parish priest Fr Agnelo Lawrence, SFS High School principal Fr Robert Fernandes, SFS assistant parish priest Fr Rosario, Vasai Konkani Association honorary president Steven Fernandes, metro based St Peter’s Association (Barkoor) honorary secretary Ivan Rebello, UWV’s honorary president Donald D’Souza, honorary secretary Joylan Fernandes and honorary treasurer Arun Pinto were present at the dais.



To Mark the Foundation Day, United Ways of Vision introduced three orphan kids of Class I by announcing its decision to take care of their complete expenses towards education, food and accommodation up to SSLC. This memorable moment was followed by cake cutting by the same orphan kids. About 50 children joined to share their happiness with the orphans.

Six toppers of SSC and HSC including Roshan Kotian who is participating in the Sony TV's 'Boogie Woogie' show and Dixon D’ Souza, who won the gold medal at the state-level athletic meet were honoured, at the same occasion.

Fr Robert Fernandes appreciated the activities of United Ways of Vision and conveyed best wishes. Roshan Kotian entertained the audience by his dazzling dance performance on the stage. Joylan Fernandes read the report on activities of United Ways of Vision. Donald D Souza welcomed the gathering.  Alwyn D’Souza proposed vote of thanks.  Delicia Oliverira compered the programme. 

Fr Rosario offered the graces before meal.  About 300 people enjoyed the family dinner, a delicious food prepared by the very members of the United Ways of Vision.
