University Teachers’ Strike – Delegation Led by Uddhav’s Son Meets Governor

Mumbai Aug 22: Aditya Thackarey, son of Shiv Sena chief executive officer Uddhav Thackeray along with student delegation met Governor S C Jameer at Raj Bhavan, recently and submitted a memorandum to resolve the ongoing university teachers’ strike here.



Aditya urged Jameer to intervene in the matter as the indefinite strike of professors has affected students. Governor assured the student delegation that he has taken the issue seriously and also is concerned about the loss to students.

Governor further informed that he has held talks with Chief Minister Ashok Chavan about the matter and has been assured of a solution in the next few days.

    This is redicules. Now government is planning to take the exam for the professors those who doesn''t fit under their range of NET/ SLET, and even the professors is also having the objection on the same. Now this will again take some time for prof. to accept it as they are already denying it. Now once there will be a meeting between the various authorities and once again the same story will arise. Now I think that whole bludy system has to change now.
