Mumbai's famous 'Lalbaugacha Raja', idol of Lord Ganesha, was unveiled on Friday at a press conference.



Social Activist Anil Nair, along with 11 other activists, staging ‘fast unto death’ hunger strike outside the Collector’s Office( Mumbai Suburban), Bandra East here, demanding immediate closure of all the hookah parlours that are being run illegally in the city.
 


Nepal Prime Minister Madhav Kumar  Nepal, and Jagdish Capoor, chairman, The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), visited the BSE on Friday and also struck the gong at the end of the BSE Market.

The government of Maharashtra, under its ‘Maharashtra Prathamik Shikshan Parishad (Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan) programme, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with a leading NGO, ‘Vedanta’, for providing E Content towards Computer Aided Learning (CAL) and Computer Education Programme (CEP) for the students studying from sixth to eighth standards in 2,590 government schools in all the 34 districts.
