Udupi, Nov 22: Sources said that the suspension order issued against police sub-inspector of the town station here, Anantha Padmanabha, has been revoked.

The sub-inspector was suspended for dereliction duty after a preliminary inquiry found him guilty of this charge. The inquiry had been conducted on the basis of complaints relating to alleged mishandling of an incident in which presence of couples from different religions at Bhujanga Park had been objected to by some youngsters, paving way to frictions.

It is said that sub-inspector, Anantha Padmanabha, has now been transferred to the district crime intelligence bureau in the office of the superintendent of police.
