Mumbai, Aug 25: Metro-based ‘Karnataka Malla’ Kannada daily editor Chandrashekar Palettady was re-elected as the president of Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh – Maharastra. The election was held at the first annual general body meeting of the Sangh was held at Billava Bhavan, Santacruz (East), here on Sunday August 23.

‘Konkani Mirror’ quarterly publication publisher Sadanand D Nayak (vice president), Karnataka’s leading Kannada daily ‘Vijaya Karnataka’ Mumbai reporter Rons Bantwal (honorary general secretary), Reliance R World News executive Daya Sagar Chowta (secretary), ‘Mogaveera’ monthly editor G P Kusuma (treasurer), were also elected as the office bearers of the Sangh. 

Lawrence Coelho (‘Divo’ Konkani illustrated weekly), Eshwar Alevoor (‘Akshaya’ monthly), Suresh Acharya (Udayavani daily), Premanath Shetty Mundkoor (‘Bantara Vani’ monthly), Surendra S Malli (Janaprabha), Vasant S Kalakoti (former Samyukta Karnataka) and Savita Suresh Shetty (Karnataka Malla), were elected as the members of the executive committee. 

Lawyers Kadandale Parari Prakash L Shetty and Rohini Salian, R K Shetty (LIC), chartered accountant I R Shetty, Dr Suresh S Rao Kateel and Dr Sunita M Shetty were chosen as the members of the advisory committee of the Sangh.
