Mangalore: St Aloysius High School ‘Class 75’ Students to Reunite on Dec 27
Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SB)
Mangalore, Sept 1: A get together of all the students of the class of 1975 of St Aloysius High School to pay tribute to their alma mater will be held at the school here on December 27 at 4.00 pm. It is expected to be a historic occasion where students of Class 75 from all over the world will gather after about 35 years on the school premises.
It will be an occasion to remember the good times had at school, in the presence of families as well as teachers and staff of the school.
A lot of preparation for the day has already been completed with many of the classmates responding very enthusiastically when contacted. Alumni based in Mangalore have teamed up to make the occasion memorable, and are meeting regularly to chalk out the programmes. Harish Suvarna is preparing a dossier containing profiles of all the students of Class 75 and their families. Materials along with rich collection of photographs of our school life for a power point presentation are being readied.
A “Class of 75 Alumni Trust” is also being contemplated, which would take the form of a corpus the interest from which will be used to support poor students of high school and primary sections with books, uniforms and shoes.
One can send profile as soon as possible so that we can include in the dossier. The photographs of school days too can be sent as an attachment for including it in the power point presentation. Feedback such as structure, goals and modalities of the trust to be formed is also welcome.
