I am extremely happy to see Dr. A.S. Rao - Superintendent of Police, Dakshina as The Chief Guest of the event at Father Muller''s Hospital inaugurating the Nursing Courses. There could not have been a better person that Dr. Rao to be The Guest of Honour.

A medical doctor by profession Dr. Rao decided to get his I.P.S. cadre and has built a great name for himself as an honest and efficient officer. I had occasions of meeting this doctor turned a Police Officer several times when I was in Mangalore. A person of not many words, courtious and friendly but curt and strict when the need arises. However the humane qualities which he imbibed during his medical career hold him in good stead. Father Patrick, Father Stany and Father Denis - I am glad you made the right choice while inviting this gentleman. T

hat reminds me of my days at father Muller''s where I was a Governing Board Member for several years. I am very happy to see Father patrick''s rise to the present position from that of an assistant director nearly three decades ago. With his qualifications of Master''s in Health care from a prestgious University in U.A.S. and with able support from Father Stany, Father Denis and others eclesiastics, FMCI and The Nursing disciplines can indeed look forward to bright future.
