Dubai, Sep 16: Daiji-Dubai Konkani Writers Forum has been following the tradition of honouring and presenting annual awards to the Konkani writers, who have been involved with Konkani literary field continuously since long and have achieved significantly, since the last ten years.

Daiji-Dubai invites applications from the eligible candidates for this prestigious and widely recognized award in the field of Konkani literature, for the year 2009. The managing committee solicits applications from those who conform to the above conditions, to reach before October 31, 2009.

The applications should contain introduction about the writer, contact address, e-mail address, telephone number and the full details of the achievements made by the candidate in Konkani literary field.  These details should be sent to the following address either by the writers themselves or be recommended by someone else on their behalf. The announcement about the award winner will be made before the end of December this year. Those selected for the award will be eligible to receive Rs 50,000.
