Bengaluru, Dec 27: "If public property is damaged during the protests against Citizen Amendment Act (CAA), the personal individual properties of such hooligans will be confiscated as done in the state of Uttar Pradesh," warned revenue minister R Ashok.

Ashok spoke to the scribes at the Vidhana Soudha and said, "It is the duty of every citizen to respect the law of the land. India is not an orphanage to give opportunity for people from Bangladesh and Pakistan to reside in India. So everyone has to cooperate in the implementation of CAA. All the opposition parties, including Congress should cooperate with the ruling party."

"It is not right to protest against the act instead of cooperation. If any public property is damaged during protests, the protesters will be held responsible for the same. The loss will be recovered by confiscating the personal property of the protesters. We will follow Uttar Pradesh model in this case," said minister R Ashok.
