Canara Welfare Association of Andheri Sacred Heart Church Celebrates Monti Fest

Mumbai, Sep 17:
Canara Welfare Association of Sacred Heart parish, Mahakali Caves Road, Andheri (East), here celebrated the Monti Fest at the parish hall, recently.
 
Parish priest Fr Baptist Pais offered the Holy Mass along with Fr Daniel Fernandes.  Fr Edward D’Mello, Fr Anil S, Fr Donald D’Souza, Fr Tony Menezes and Fr Sheelanand were also present at the religious ceremony.
 


Fr Jerome D’Souza blessed the new paddy sheaves which were taken in a procession along with adoring statue of Infant Mary, while the little children showered flowers in Her honour. 
 
Entrepreneur and sponsor Richard and Lydwin D’Souza inaugurated the programme. Secular Citizen weekly publisher and editor Suzanne L Coelho, Fr Baptist Pais, Canara Welfare Association president Tony Francis D’Almeida and chief organizer Julie F D’Almeida were the chief guests on the occasion. 
 
Association office-bearers Richard Peris, Tressy R Peris, Pius Fernandes, Daisy Dias, Francis D’Souza, Alwyn D’Souza, Henry D’Silva and Victor Concesso among others were present. The traditional food was shared by all that added to the joy of celebration.
