St John Institutes Hold Induction Ceremony for New Students

Mumbai, Sep 19: The induction and orientation programme for the new batch of students of St John College of Engineering and Technology and St John Institute of Pharmacy and Research, which come under the Aldel Education Trust, was inaugurated here on Thursday September 17. 

Aldel Education Trust chairman Albert W D’Souza, addressing the students, talked of campus development and their future prospects at St John Technical Education Complex.


 

Auxiliary Bishop Percival Fernandez of the metro was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Bishop Percival inspired the students with the concept of technical education and the simultaneous efforts that they will have to make with the help of their teachers in developing their personality.

Concept Pharmaceuticals vice-president Richard Moras elaborated on the job prospects and employability scenarios in the areas of engineering and pharmacy, stressing the need for the students to be focused and alert to the current developments in their respective fields.

Advisor Dr S Krishnamoorthy, St John College of Engineering and Technology principal Dr Satish Takalikar, and St John Institute of Pharmacy and Research principal Dr Savita Tauro also spoke on different aspects related to their curriculum patterns, involvement and contributions to the campus, and overall progress during the four-year degree course.

Deepak Fertilizers vice-president A C Augustine carried out a special induction session for the students wherein the aspects of technical education, active participation of students, and the development of their career were highlighted upon.
