Mangalore: ‘Sevak’ Announces Winners of Unique Golden Jubilee Awards

Mangalore, Oct 3: Konkani monthly ‘Sevak’ announced the winners of its unique golden jubilee awards on Saturday October 3.
The publication will be celebrating its golden jubilee year in Mangalore on Sunday October 11.
Earlier this year, Sevak had invited application for awards in various categories like ‘Highest Religious Vocations’, ‘Longest Living Couple’, ‘Large Family with Most Number of Children’.
The awards consist of blessings from Pope Benedict XVI, a citation letter, mementoes, cash awards of Rs 10,000 each and felicitations.
Fr John Harry D’Souza, who heads Sevak, is responsible for creating awareness about the monthly and increasing its circulation to a record level. He intimated Daijiworld of the winners.

John and Angeline D'Souza of Karkala, who married in 1940, have been living happily together for 69 years.
