Kaup, Jan 28: In a bizarre incident that has occurred at Ucchila in the taluk, Dalits tried to cremate the body of Dalit leader in front of the gram panchayat itself as there is no proper land meant for them to carry out the final rites of people of their community.

Shankar, a Dalit leader of Mullagudde Harijana Colony of Bada village, died on Tuesday, January 28. But as there is no place to cremate him, the Dalits have kept his body in front of the Ucchila panchayat office and are trying to cremate him there itself. There is a tense situation prevailing in the area.

Panchayat administrators and police have rushed to the spot.

There is a public Hindu cemetery in Ucchila of the taluk. However, Dalits are barred from carrying out burial or cremation of the dead bodies of people belonging to Dalit community. Only Mogaveera, who are an upper caste is allowed to cremate or bury their dead people in this cemetery.

Though the public Hindu cemetery in Ucchila belongs to the government, Dalits are not allowed to use it. Dalit Sangharsha Samiti has held severe fight in this regard. But the panchayat administration, though has got lac of rupees of grant from the district administration, is not building a cremation ground for the Dalits.

And our great Modishah wants to give citizenship to Pakistani Hindus. Now I am convinced why muslim brothers opposing NRC and mark my word, sooner or later, the middle class and poor non muslims will be in the street opposing NRC. This NRC is only for poor, middle class Indians whether it's Hindu, Muslim or any other religion. Can anyone show me a single example of a rich or elite Hindu or Muslim standing in Que to register for NRC in ASSAM????????? for sure they fix their boat by paying heavy bribes without visiting anywhere. The same case of demonetization where the poor and middle class citizens suffered and not a single rich was in a que in front of bank. So "NAAVELLA HINDU, NAAVELLA ONDU" is just a slogan???. What petite caste system we do have and we are mood of finding solution about other religions problem like triple talaq etc. Oh God you can only save my (our) country.

When rape culture persists in them they would not look into the cast and creed but for a burial
they are scared that Evil spirits would haunt them in death.

Now, 60% of lower caste Hindus should realize, if in a democratic and secular country, this is the reality, where will be their place, if Manuvada constitution is established. Shame on people who discriminate their own brothers.

Country is not running short of land or a right place for cremation on govt. lands.
Moreover, if allowed to burry in Christian graveyards, right wing Hindus may claim that Our priests have converted the dead body into Christianity.

Mr. Modi neither discussed this discrimination issue n Mann ki baath; nor in his election campaign even though he was able to form law on triple talaq. May be he thought that triple talaq is the biggest issue.

All these sanghtane which fights in the name of relogion never tried to get solution for this issue of discrimination. I don't know why?
