Mangalore: Old Port - Ban on Traffic Movement from Oct 15


MANGALORE, Oct 14 (The Hindu): Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada V. Ponnuraj has banned traffic movement on the main road in the fisheries harbour (old port) from Thursday to facilitate concreting work.

Vehicles plying from Badriya Junction to the harbour should move on the Bamboo Bazar Road and reach the port through first, second and third cross roads. Vehicles moving from the port to the city should take a right turn at the fourth cross on Bamboo Bazaar Road and proceed on the Rozario Road.

Bamboo Bazar Road and the fourth cross road from the Bamboo Bazar Road have been temporarily made one-way. Parking of vehicles has been banned on the Bamboo Bazaar Road, according to a release.
