Mumbai, Oct 21: A workshop on Social Communications was conducted by Fr Lorens D’Silva, director of Kristaprabha Social Communications, Karwar and president of Signis Karnataka, for the junior sisters of the congregation of Poor Sisters of Our Lady at Divya Prabha, Vasai here, recently.

The programme covered issues like media education, media awareness and media skills. The purpose of the training was to foster awareness of the media-world around them and to introduce them to various means of communications. 

A special emphasis was also given to films as a creative medium for religious instructions and catechesis. Around 30 nuns participated in the two-day workshop.
