Two Students of Ujire Engineering College Lose Lives in Tragedies

Beltangady, Nov 6: Pooja Shanbhogue (20), a third year student of the engineering college in Ujire, had sustained serious injuries after falling from the upper storey of the hostel building in the college campous on Tuesday November 3. She had been admitted to a hospital in Mangalore for treatment. On Thursday, she breathed her last, after failing to respond to treatments.

Sandeep (18), a resident of Davangere and a first year student of the said college, drowned on Thursday. As the college had declared a holiday on Thursday, he had visited Manjotti in Nada village along with some of his friends, to have a bath in the river. While taking bath, he drowned. It is learnt, he did not know how to swim.
