Bantwal: Cops nab coronavirus suspect who escaped from hospital

Mangaluru, Mar 8: A patient, admitted to the Wenlock hospital of the city for suspected Coronavirus infection, who escaped from the hospital later, was located at Bantwal by police on Monday, March 9.

Health officer of the hospital had informed Mangaluru south police station following which high alert was sounded in coastal districts.

The man is now admitted to taluk hospital.

The man, who arrived at the airport here on Sunday, March 8, exhibited symptoms of coronavirus infection.

He was admitted into the district Wenlock Hospital here. He refused to be treated and escaped from the hospital which led to panic.

    Education or advertising the impact of thie diseas is very important in all airports, bus stands, market places, schools, temples, churches etc. Lack of awareness may cause anxiety for people when they quarantine. Govt should take a lead on this asap before goes crazy of this virus

    Police deputation is required at airport and hospitals.
    Arrests should be made whenever non compliance is there.
    Number of beds to be increased from 10 to more isolation wards just to be safe.
    Disinfect the areas regularly and maintain hygienic conditions to prevent spread.

    This idiot ran away from Wenlock hospital, causing panic in the entire administration in Dakshin Kannada district.... He has been traced to Bantwal, the authorities must now quarantine all his family members and friends, he must have visited, to prevent transmission of this deadly disease from exploding in the entire district !!!!
