Mangaluru: Identification parade of airport bomb case accused Adithya Rao held

Mangaluru, Mar 11: Identification parade of Adithya Rao, accused in the bomb case at international airport here, was held at the prison here on Tuesday, March 10. As many as 15 eye witnesses, who had seen Adithya Rao placing the bag containing the live bomb at the airport, identified him during the identification parade.

The parade was conducted in the presence of tahsildar and the officials of the prison. The statements of the eye witnesses were recorded. This will be submitted to the court in a sealed envelope by the investigation officers.


Adithya Rao

This identification parade was originally scheduled to be held on February 25. However, as Adithya was suffering from Malaria on that day, the same could not be held. Adithya, who was getting treated for Malaria at Wenlock hospital, was brought back to the prison after a week. Investigation officers had resent their request to hold identification parade of Adithya to the tahsildar. Hence, the parade was held on Tuesday.
