Mumbai, Nov 18: Renowned Kannada litterateur Dr G D Joshi released ‘Bangarada Hudugi,’ maiden collection of stories authored by Umesh H Karkera popularly known as Mitrapatna Gopikapriya and published by metro-based Avhijith Publications in a ceremony held at Karnataka Sangh, Matunga (West), here recently.
The metro-based Devadiga Sangh former president Dharmapal Devadiga was the guest of honour. Dr G D Joshi presided. Gopika U Karkera, Ullas U Karkera, Usha Karkera and others were present on the dais.
Billava Association – Akshaya monthly journal sub-editor Harish K Hejamady read the foreword from the book. Abhijith Publications proprietor Dr G N Upadya explained the literary activities undertaken by the publication.
Karnataka Sangh vice-president Bharat Kumar Polipu introduced the guests. Honorary secretary Omdas Kannangar compered the programme.
