Pandit Jasraj Receives ‘Aditya Vikram Birla Kala Shikhar Award’

Mumbai, Nov 23:
Governor S C Jamir presented the prestigious ‘Aditya Vikram Birla Kala Shikhar Award’ to the doyen of Hindustani classical music Sangeet Martand Padma Vibhushan Pandit Jasraj here on Saturday November 21.



The award carries a cash prize of Rs 2.5 lac, a silver memento, and a scroll of honour.
 
The Governor also presented the ‘Aditya Vikram Kala Kiran Awards’ to two promising artists, Jaiteerth Mevundi of the Kirana Gharana, and Omkar Dadarkar.
