Bengaluru, Mar 30: The Karnataka government has launched Quarantine watch mobile app to keep strict vigil on people who are under mandatory home quarantine.
All people under home quarantine are required to send selfie every hour through the app. Through the GPS coordinates, the location of the sender will be traced.
If any home quarantine person fails to send selfie except sleeping time (10 pm to 7 am), then government teams will shift the person to mass quarantine centres.
Every selfie will be verified by government team to ensure they are genuine and no irregularities. In case someone is found updating selfies that are not taken at the apt time, then they will be shifted to
quarantine centres.
Even the teams visiting houses of quarantined persons will be clicking photos and sending through the app.
