Mangaluru: Vehicles ordered to keep off roads post 12.30 pm from April 2

Mangaluru, Apr 2: Vehicular movement has been completely banned on the roads in the district with effect from 12.30 pm on Thursday, April 2.

Police commissioner Dr P S Harsha, in a tweet, said that in case of medical emergencies, the people can avail of ambulance services. Everyone has been requested to cooperate with the administration.

Detailed advisory relating to this move will be issued shortly by the district administration, he informed in the tweet.

Regular business hours are allowed for provision and vegetable stores every day from 7 am to 12 noon in the district now.

    Respected Sir,

    Please there should be one person/authority to issue orders and or guidelines. We are total CONFUSION.

    We were relaxed when the Dist. in charge minister announced that we are free to buy groceries or medicines from 7 -12 effective April 2. Subsequently, there were few movements at the market area.

    My nearest medical shop/ grocery is 8 kms (nearest city) from my home as the village one is closed (no stock). How can I get my daily needs if i'm not allowed to commute by 4 wheeler (2 wheeler is allowed and I don''t have one). We have aged parents and kids in the household.

    Just because of few who ignore lock down rules, the entire district should not suffer.

    Where ypu located?

    Please drop no. here medicine you required will be delivered to your door step with out AZ ny delivery charges.

    U will not get fresh food every day, you even my family managing with milk powder instead of Milk.

    We have to SD upport govt atleast in this crucial time.

    Even my parents are ready to eat ganji. U have rice atleadt ryt?

    I can just imagine the rush now for fuel between 7 -12.30 pm assuming that most petrol stations are open at that time...

    After today 12.30 vehicles ordered to keep off from road, it means not u can take vehicle tomorrow.......

    from today 12.30 onwards till next announcement vehicles can not enter road at All...........

    How can a person reach to the hospital. There are not many ambulances in Belthangady. And how to get groceries. My father is 76 years old. Please relax the rules for few hours a day.

    Whom to listen and follow...? Whether
    1.D C D.K?...or Dist.in .Charge Minister ?
    2.Police Commissioner?
    3.ACP ...Traffic ?
    4.M.L.A.
    5.M.P.
    6.Mayor
    7.Corporator
    If any of the above ..
    Let only 1 issue order....and that too CLEARLY...
    What is this After April 2,12.30 pm.no vehicles allowed ? Till when ??Don't do all this.
    We appreciate you people are doing a good job.
    However this confusion is too much and can be avoided.
    Stop vehicle movement at borders .Enough.We will be safe then.

    Perhaps authorities must allow only Cycles and Walking.
    Good For Heath, Environment
    And most of all shopping will be limited and as needed

    Nice,. Agree with your comment...but tell me dear, there are people we can see around shoulder pain, knee pain, or some injuries, some with spondylitis...will they can carry the stuff and walk to and fro ...? As Rakshak said some houses are far from the City...whats your valuable suggestion ?

    The movement of vehicle from 12.30 pm is continuous or for today only. Tomorrow like today morning for essential is closed or open. For urgency where we can get information as some directions at different section create confusion. We appreciate district administration order it will clear our doubt and help to follow rules. If possible the circulation of whatsup message may be banned

    I welcome our Commissioner of Police Dr Harsha instructions. But my request is to make Green Vegetables available in all most all areas of Mangalore city. Otherwise the citizens are rushing toward central market , this can be controll the rush.

    Everyday 1 new experiment till 14th. 1 step forward and then 2 steps backward. Looks like finally all will end backward due to such steps which will cause inconvenience to thr general public.

    I welcome the ban on vehicular movement after 12:30Noon. I wonder how the staff connected with hospitals will reach their designated work place. There are some staff who need to be dropped and picked up for and after their duty. Also what about staff working on shifts.

    I hope this has taken this fact in to account !!!

    Yes sir, we accept what you say and follow. When you say open from 7 to 12 for necessary things, people around are holding meeting in certains centers like clubs, holy places etc, which is not allowed right. Need to take action on such things

    The vehicular movement is completely banned from today 12 30. From tomorrow even if you want to buy groceries then you have to walk, even for that you can't take vehicles.. And that's not a sensible decision.

    Rather than stopping the vehicles in the district see that the Kasargod Mallus do not enter DK.

    That is the biggest scare because in whole of India that is the worst district with numerous cases.
