Mangalore : Sr Millicent Pinto at 82 Releases Album of Hymns

Mangalore, Dec 14: If one is determined to do good work, age is no bar. Sr Millicent Pinto popularly known as Sr Mai belonging to the congregration of Ursuline Franciscan Sisters has gone ahead and done just that.
Sr Mai who is in the ripe age of 82 years has come out with her first audio CD album of charismatic hymns that comprises ten inspirational hymns composed by her.
The audio CD titled “Muje Tai Jiye” was released by Fr Andrew Leo, parish priest of St Joseph’s Church, Jeppu here after the solemn mass on Sunday December 12.
Speaking on the occasion, Fr Andrew Leo congratulated and admired Sr Millicent Pinto for her spirit and dedicated effort in bringing out an album with such inspiring hymns at the age.
Sr Millicent Pinto thanked God and expressed her gratitude to all the people who had extended their support in bringing out this album.
The ten inspirational hymns are sung by popular vocalists of Mangalore. The harmonization is done by Fr Walter Albuquerque and Simon Pais Bajal.
The music is directed by Roshan, Richard and Ashith and the recording is done at Sandesha Digital Studio by Ashith Pinto.
The 82-year-old nun has served in the field of education for more than 34 years as teacher and headmistress. She has immense love for the poor and has extended her helping hand for the needy. These compositions are fruit of prayerful hours spent in the adoration chapel of the Divine Call Centre, Mulky-Mangalore, where she has served for five years in the prayer ministry.
