Beltangady, Aug 4: In a major development related to the Dharmasthala case, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) reportedly discovered a human skeleton at a new location in the forest while en route to conduct an operation at the previously identified 11th spot on Monday, August 4.

According to sources, before reaching the 11th search location, an anonymous individual accompanying the SIT allegedly insisted on being taken to a different area in the upper forest region.

During this diversion, skeletal remains resembling the structure of a male body were found lying on the ground, apparently indicating suicide, according to preliminary observations.

Clothes and a rope were also found near the remains, prompting the SIT to carry out a day-long mahazar (spot inspection) at the site. The operation concluded at 6:30 PM. Whether the team will proceed with the planned search at the 11th location or explore any other area on August 5 remains to be seen.
