Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, bishop of Mangalore diocese, PMI & ICYM of the Holy Cross Church, Cordel gave a true Christmas gift to the inmates. They received bishop’s prayer, Christmas cake, prominent speaker's advice & the young Christian youth’s assurances with entertainment performance. I salute all of you for boosting their morale and making them happy for a short period. There are chances that they realize their mistake & get reformed in future.

Every year, Christmas brings joy and hope to billions of people. To have the message spread to the prisoners with love and sharing is the best message of hope they can listen. They were caught up in the system due to a split second temper outburst, and now regretting every day for their mistakes. What the Church doing is very commendable and we need to do more to give them hope even in other seasons. The gospel of Jesus Christ has transformed thousands of hardcore prisoners. MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Thanks Daijiworld. When it comes to inmates of a prison, there is no distinction between religion, caste or creed. All are in need of love and compassion. Change of mind is possible but not that easy. Our mind is a mystery. May God bless those who are deprived of love and bless those who try to provide it. In fact, these acts of kindness and love are to be made available every now and then. Political parties can organize some spontaneous and random acts of mercy to the prisoners rather than organize cowardly acts of violence against other communities. When those inmates are set free, there might be a change of heart which is in itself a conversion. Conversion of mind and heart is needed for a peaceful living in today's complex society.
