Coronavirus: Karnataka death toll reaches 18, state tally 445

Bengaluru, Apr 23 (IANS): A 75-year-old woman succumbed to Covid-19, taking Karnatakas coronavirus death toll to 18, an official said on Thursday. The total number of positive cases in the southern state stands at 445.

"A 75-year-old woman from Bantwal with history of hypertension and pneumonia died on Thursday at the Wenlock district hospital in Dakshina Kannada," said a health official.

The deceased woman was a contact of the state's 390th positive case.

    Kerala has the best health care system in India.Number of positive cases where highest in Kerala last month and just see the current position where it stands now.Hatts off to Health minister K.K Shylaja and all health care workers.Other states should learn from Kerala model of handling this pandemic.
