Raichur: Disregarding lockdown, former MLA participates in fire sacrifice

Daijiworld Media Network - Raichur (SP)

Raichur, Apr 24: It is surprising that in spite of the government issuing clear instructions against holding them and enforcing lockdown rules, worships, mass prayers etc continue to be performed in certain temples.

In one such occasion, 'Maha Rudra Yaga' fire sacrifice was performed at Lord Mallikarjuna temple located on the hill in Maski town in the distinct. The aim of this oblation was to root out coronavirus from the earth.

Vara Rudramani Shivacharya Swamiji of Gatchina Math was the celebrant of this fire sacrifice. Former MLA Pratap Gowda Patil, and his well-wishers and supporters took part in the ritual and offered prayers to God. More than 30 persons including Pratap Gowda took part in the Yaga held in the front yard of the temple.

The supporters of the former legislator neither wore masks nor maintained social distance. Even though there is no provision to offer collective prayer in temples, the former legislator was seen violating lockdown rules with impunity and taking part in the religious programme.

Why none of the lions are not roaring now and spelling out all the draconian sections against these fools who are brazenly violating lockdown instructions & conducting rituals? This is repeatedly happening; and in absence of a severe lathi language, these foolish things r conducted! What examples r they setting for the common man; why the hell he has to tolerate merciless beatings by cops just for walking on the road?
All these diktats given from time r only for the innocent citizens! These incidents make a mockery of the administration of the state when evertime he they remind us of the lockdown protocol as if the commoners were "sacrificial lambs"!!
Hope better sense & equality will prevsil!

    Jai hind!!

I don't blame them. Our bureaucrats are sold in the hands of political leaders. As long as they perform their duties treating all the citizens equal in the eyes of law everything will be alright.

Nothing wrong with fire sacrifice, atleast they are not setting fire to their constituency. Ministers be ex or current can do as per their wish, they are serving the poor.

Ur knowledge on nakshatra is not education.... Academic education is what we are talking about.... Respect for constitution and rules n norms comes with quality education... Today we are all respecting our government and shutting ourselves indoors and hence we inspite of being second largest populated country in the world are still controlling the infection better than developed countries....

All nakshatras have gone into a toss due to covid.... Please talk sense
