Bantwal: Spot used for consumption of liquor raided, two including woman arrested

Bantwal, Apr 25: Punjalkatte police station sub inspector raided a spot near a grocery shop at Mada, Badagajekaru village in the taluk on April 23 and arrested two people for facilitating consumption of liquor. 

The arrested are identified as Shobha Parottu (42), resident of Badakajekar village, for facilitating consumption of liquor, and Sandesh alias Munna (31) who had come to consume liquor.

Liquor was confiscated from the spot.

Shobha Parrottu is a BJP-backed gram panchayat member of Kajekar.

A police case was registered at Punjalkatte police station in this connection.
