25 budding authors selected for 'You Are All I Need' Penguin-Romedy Now romantic anthology

New Delhi, Apr 29 (IANS): Twenty-five budding authors have made the cut for an anthology, 'You Are All I Need' to be published by Penguin Random House India from among the 1,500 entries received for a contest jointly conducted by the publisher through its #GetPublished initiative and the Romedy Now entertainment channel to give upcoming writers a rare opportunity to see their work in print.

"There are great synergies between the stories I write, which Penguin publishes and the stories that Romedy Now telecasts. And we felt there could be no better way than for all three of us to come together and let our audience share their love stories with the world," the anthology's editor, Ravinder Singh, one of India's foremost writers in the genre of romantic novels, who has nine novels to his credit, said.

The contest was announced on Valentine's Day (February 14), with the stories being limited to 1,500 words.

"Romedy Now is synonymous with distinctive content and stories that capture the essence of ‘Love. Laugh. Live'. Akin to the brand ethos, GetPublished is a unique initiative that celebrates the stories and provides an exclusive opportunity to the upcoming authors to share it with the audience," Vivek Srivastava, President - Strategy and Business Head - English Entertainment Cluster, Times Network, said.

Vaishali Mathur- Publisher, Indian Languages, Penguin Random House India, said it had been an "absolutely brilliant experience" working on the project and that "we can't wait to share these stories" with the reading public.
