Sonia to hold meet with Congress CMs on lockdown 3.0

New Delhi, May 5 (IANS): Congress Interim President Sonia Gandhi has convened a meeting of Chief Ministers of the Congress ruled states to take stock of the situation following the lockdown phase three.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday through video conferencing. And the Chief Ministers of Punjab, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Puducherry will be attending.

The meeting comes in the wake of the announcement by the Congress to bear the cost of travel of the stranded migrants, and Rahul Gandhi's talk with Noble laureate Abhijeet Banerjee.

Congress is harping on the condition of the migrant labourers and the poor, who it says have been badly affected by the unplanned lockdown. By taking up this issue, the party is strategically avoiding direct conflict with the Union Government and yet taking up the issue to corner the Centre on the plight of the poor.

Sonia Gandhi has written a slew of letters to the Prime Minister and suggested a number of measures, including Direct Cash Transfer of Rs 7,500 to each account.

In the interaction session with Rahul Gandhi, noted economist Abhijit Banerjee had suggested to pay Rs 10,000 into the bank accounts of the poor. Banerjee said people should get money to spend more and this will lead to the revival of the economy.

Both senior leaders requested and suggested how to run the govt during pandemic, but nothing enters the deaf ears, seems like full of kerosene in ears.
So its good atleast they thought this way. Abhijit bannerjee is promising advisor. There should cash flow with in country with all classes, but bjp cashflows only in their rich circle, which makes great exonomic imbalance, thats why u see banks getting destroyed, banks are financial spines of India. Giving infinte loans to mallya, modi, adai, badanekai etc these destroyed. Today i saw tge news diesel 7 rs per litre raised. When whole world is having oil less than water price, where is india leading to.
Hey bhagvan pls give some sadbuddi to our ruling ministers.

I feel sorry for the Congress and the Gandhis. Despite of so much action from the RaGA and SoniaG, there is absolutely no support from our Congress offices, leaders, supporters from DK. Ever since the lock down since Mar end , the DK Congress is in Coma. Where have they gone? Why this attitude? How will Congress bounce back if there is no support at regional level. Our Cong team too can help the poor in the DK region,. Due to clousure of business, people have lost jobs and livelihood, why dont we take an initiative here in such circumtances?

A very accurate decision by congress and the right strategy by world renowned economist Abijith Bannerji. It's the consumers who stimulate the economy and govt's job is to create job opportunities and generate tax to further improve the economy. It's a two way effort benefitting both parties. But BJP govt is doing everything opposite sucking out everything from people and rendering them penniless with no job opportunities as its needs govt huge investment which BJP is reluctant to spend so no tax generation. Govt swindles money by hiking taxes, GST, penulties and fines on MVA, hiked fuel price, liquor etc are one way revenue to the govt which is collapsing the economy. This cow class govt doesn't realize its bad for thier existence too in the long run and will create uncontrollable uprise.

Congress is not relevant any more, they have been reduced to minority, even regional parties are more competitive than this grand old party.

Mrs. sonia Gandhi, you, your son and your daughter should work as ordinary party workers and select a able, educated, intelligent and a young person with leadership qualities as Party president with free hand to lead the party. there are lot of talented people in your party. Otherwise your party does not hold any chance for the future.

We are not living in the era of late Mrs. Indira Gandhi & late Rajeev Gandhi ( both these leaders had leadership qualities, Charisma & vision to lead the party & nation, and they have proved it). Now majority of voters are youngsters with different thought and ability to decide whom they want as a leader to lead the Nation.

Mrs. Gandhi by playing petty politics, you are not going to re energize your party during Covid 19 epidemic crisis. For the best interest of the country, it is better you call up the PM, fix an appointment and give your suggestion and support the ruling govt, if not sit at home during lockdown.
Be safe, stay safe, stay healthy. Hope common sense prevails.

Congress party is irrelevant to faulty EVMs winners BJP but people now are even more than ever relevant to congress. You better pack your 'Potli' and rush back to India because whole world is questioning Modi for his religious intolerance in India and soon there might be sanctions. If you have those ideologies and Australian govt finds you, you will sent to Koolgarlie and Kalgoorlie.

So with elections in mind you did not help Kerala. RaGa has helped all migrants including people from BJP ruled states. You dare to face a open debate with RaGa on various subjects????. RaGa presents himself as one integrated leader not like '56" Chester', 'Tea Boy', 'Chowkidar', 'Cloud & Radar Scientist', 'Surgical Strike Specialist', 'Pradhan Sevak for Foriegn Tours' with different costumes, theatrics and dialogues and actions as a joker in the media.

I think this is not right time to credit amount to their accounts, because all over the country the Liquors shops opened after a gap of 40 days. If these migrants spend this amount on liquors, then the purpose won't solve. Actually they need the amount 20 days back when they had no job and surviving question.
