Sharjah police removes all lockdown restrictions amid coronavirus

Sharjah, May 6: The police chief in Sharjah in a post shared on Wednesday, May 5, said that the police would not impose any lockdown measures in any parts of Sharjah amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Commander in chief of the Sharjah Police, Major General Saif Zari Al Shamsi opined that the emirate had not witnessed any mass infection in any parts of the territory and, therefore there was no need to impose strict restrictions on any parts, he said.

The General said, "There was no massive spread of coronavirus in any location within Sharjah. The police have no intention to impose any lockdown."
