30 more test positive, J&K tally surges to 823


Jammu, May 8 (IANS): Thirty more tested positive in J&K on Friday, taking the total number of COVID-19 patients to 823 in the Union Territory.

A statement issued by the Information Department said 30 more tested positive today and all of them belong to Kashmir division. With this the number of COVID-19 patients has surged to 823 in J&K.

So far, 9 patients have succumbed while 364 have completely recovered.

The number of active cases is now 450 of whom 13 are in Jammu division while 437 are in Kashmir division.
