Zee News Editor-in-Chief gets threat calls from Pakistan

New Delhi, May 12 (IANS): Zee News Editor-in-Chief Sudhir Chaudhary was on Monday threatened by a caller from Pakistan to "stop exposing the nefarious design of Islamic jihadists", the channel said in a statement.

According to the statement, the Pakistani man made a WhatsApp call from 92-3338831245 to Chaudhary and threatened him to stop his shows against Jihadi elements in India or else face dire consequences. The calls were accompanied by threatening WhatsApp messages and images from other Pakistani numbers - 92-3057625175, 92-3479589959 and 92-3338831245, it said.

The statement said that the man who called refused to identify himself despite Chaudhary asking him several times if he was from the ISI. The caller also revealed that he knew about the FIR filed in Kerala against Chaudhry's show and threatened that similar FIRs will be filed in many other places.

Chaudhary has filed complaints against the numbers from which the calls and messages were sent with Delhi Police Commissioner S.N. Shrivastava and Gautam Budh Nagar Commissioner of Police Alok Singh.

Dear Kamath, please dont trust this type of channels. They are there only to misguide people and keep the main issue hidden. this channel is helping govt to hide its failure to control current situation. Labours are facing problem and many have died. However, our govt is soft for businessmen by allowing sale of liquor. We had seen people rushing to buy liquors as if they are thirsty for last many years. Social distance is not at all maintained and there was no police force there. However police some placed of worship where you will find hard 2 to 3 people offering prayers. For police , social distance maintaining by 2 to 3 devotees is more important than thousands of liquor buyers. Surprisingly police didnt visit the site of liquor shop. I smell some fishy in this behaviour.

Dear Kamath, I fully agree with you. India should do surgical strike on Pak without wasting time. We had seen hundreds of Pak soldiers killed during last surgical strike and it took pak by surprise. Our planes did the strike 25 to 30 kms inside pak and there was no oppositionn. We have special fighting planes which cannot be detected by enemy country. Now china is also troubling our forces. PM should ask military for surgical strike on chinese army also.
