Actor Prakash Rai Inaugurates Kannada Film Festival in Metro

Mumbai, Jan 11:
Prakash Rai, national awardee actor, who hails from Karnataka inaugurated the first ever Kannada Film Festival, a week-long screening of exclusively chosen Kannada movies, at Dr M Vishweshwarayya auditorium of Karnataka Sangh, Matunga (West), here on Sunday January 10.



Karnataka information department director N R Vishukumar was the chief guest. Karnataka Film Academy president T S Nagabharana presided.
 
Karnataka Sangh president Manohar M Kori, vice-president Bharath Kumar Polipu, honorary chief secretary Omdas Kannangar, honorary treasurer B G Naik and Sneha Sambandha - Kannada monthly editor Srinivas Jokatte among others were present.
 
National award recipient director Girish Kasaravalli inaugurated the seminar, The path treaded by Kannada filmdom and its future, held in the morning as part of Kannada Film Festival.
 
Suchitra Film Society head N Vidyashankar delivered a lecture at the seminar. T S Nagabharana and P Sheshadri conducted the seminar.
 
Nenapirali, Kannada hit movie was screened at the end of the programme.
