Five of family burnt to death in Gawalior fire


Gawalior (Madhya Pradesh), May 18 (IANS): Five members of a family were burnt to death and three others seriously injured on Monday morning when a fire broke out in a paint shop in Gawalior in Madhya Pradesh, police said.

The family resided on the first floor of the building owned by Hariom Mangal in Roshnighar area in Indergunj police station jurisdiction. Three fire engines were pressed into the firefighting operation.

Gawalior Range Additional Director General of Police Raja Babu Singh said that prima facie the fire was caused by a short circuit.
