UP government accepts Cong offer to deploy 1,000 buses for migrants

Lucknow, May 18 (IANS): The UP Congress, here on Monday, claimed to have submitted the list of 1,000 buses to the Yogi Adityanath government.

While UP Congress chief Ajay Kumar Lallu was holding a press meet to make the announcement, the state government released the letter sent to Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra accepting her offer of running 1,000 buses for migrant workers.

The letter sent by Additional Chief Secretary (home) Avanish Awasthi is dated May 18.

Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had slammed the Congress for not submitting the list of buses and playing 'petty politics' on the migrant workers' issue.

    God bless you Yogi

Thanks for thinking about poor labourers

It is better to shake hand and take readily available help at this situation rather than taking curse from 10,000 poor labourers

During this tragic situation No one should play politics. Our one aim and goal should be the safety and security of millions on road. The great human resource of our Country needs to be protected and supported during this difficult time.
Whethere Yogi, Bhogi or Thyagi doesn't matter. What matters is the safety of the migrant labourers.
Let us humans first than play politics because of our party affiliation.

That is the power of congress especially Priyanka Gandhi made Yogi to come down to his knees and agree to her terms. When people are with congress nobody can touch. It's people's Power and Mandate not programmed EVM power.

The baniya raj announces $5 trillion for the baniyas to prop up their businesses...

...But no money to ferry the poor migrant workers.

Happy to hear that a private party has pooled its own resources to organise 1000 buses.

    Shame on the baniya raj!

    @ Rathan,

You need to ask this question to Central Government.

Ask them why Congress should organise the buses when BJP is ruling? Question them why the PM Cares Fund is not utilised for this purpose.

You tell them that you don't like the dombarata and nautanki of Congress and so Government should wake up from sleep and help the people who are suffering.
