Mumbai, Jan 27: The thirtieth annual general body meeting of Indian Hotel and Restaurant Association (Ahar) was held in the chairmanship of its president Narayan Alva, at Radhabai T Bhandary auditorium of Bunts Sangh, located at Kurla (East), here recently.


 

Mayor Shradda S Jadhav was the chief guest of the programme, presented a Life-time achievement Award to Ahar founder president Datta Kadam on the occasion.
 
Ahar honorary chief secretary Santhosh R Shetty, honorary treasurer K V Shetty, joint secretary Sukhesh Shetty, joint treasurer Mukund Shinde, vice-president Vasant Shetty, Krishna Y Shetty, Shivanand Shetty, Pradeep Shetty, Adarsh Shetty, Sudhakar Y Shetty, Arvind Shetty, Mohandas Shetty, Babu S Shetty, Ravindra Shetty, Sudhakar Y Shetty and Vasant Karkala among others were present on the dais.
 
Ahar donated Rs 1 lac towards National Association for the Blind during the programme. It also presented talent awards to meritorious children of hotel employees.
 
Seminar on hotel industry, healthy beverages of India and abroad, exhibition of cost saving hotel equipment and accessories too was held.
 
Chandrashekar Shetty compered the programme.  Santhosh Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
