Tulu Natives in Large Numbers Attend Nemotsav of Borivli – Devulapada Garady

Mumbai, Jan 27:
Nemotsav to deity Baidarkala – Tulunadu icons Koti and Chennaya was held with solemnity and worship at Sri Brahma Garady, located at the suburban Borivli (West), here from Monday January 25 to Tuesday January 26.  Sri Jagadishwar Seva Samiti is holding Nemotsav annually since the past 35 years.



 
Vedic rites were performed by P Krishnamurthi Bhat Byculla under the leadership of Seva Samiti president Shekar Indu Salian, vice-presidents Narsappa K Marnad and Laxman V Belvai, honorary chief secretary Dayanand Poojary Waranga, honorary treasurer Bhoja V Mendon, and joint secretary Shekar Kanchan.
 
Billavara Association president Jaya C Suvarna and other office-bearers, Congress leader Ashok Suthrale, NCP leader A P Mulla, social activist Kamlesh Shetty, Praveen Dharekar, MLA, Mumbai Pradesh BJP president Gopal C Shetty, Shiv Sena corporator Aparna Navrekar, Congress corporator Vinay Patel, NCP corporator Aparna Navrekar Kursange and a large gathering of Tulu natives settled in metro attended the Nemotsav.
 
Jaya C Suvarna honoured Timmappa T Amin couple, the donors of silver trumpet on the occasion.
