Mysuru: 'PU result on July 8, SSLC by July end' – Minister Suresh Kumar

Daijiworld Media Network - Mysuru (SP)

Mysuru, May 30: "The remaining PU English examination will be held on June 18, and PU result will be declared on or around July 8. SSLC result also will be published by the end of July," said education minister Suresh Kumar.

Addressing the media after holding meeting with deputy directors of public instruction in the city, he noted that some people had approached the high court seeking orders to stall proposed SSLC examination but the high court has dismissed the litigation. "Examination will be held from June 25 to July 4. To maintain social distance, the number of students in examination rooms is being brought down to 18 from 24," he stated.

The minister also sounded a strong warning to schools which have increased the fee in violation of the education department's order.

The minister said that advice from the director of National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences has been sought on the issue of giving online training to children. When media persons wanted to know whether rural children will find it difficult to participate in online classes, he said this issue will be discussed and decided.

Why needed a single language paper exam needed to be conducted in this pandemic time. Is this only paper wll decide their future. The board can easily give aggregate Mark's scored by the student in the entire year. Why the board is in an urge that too cases spiking bcoz of migrants. If any one student got affected whole school wll suffer nd along with them their families with old ppl nd small kids. Why putting this tension on the family. Hv been posting my opposition towards the exam in almost all links talking abt PU ENGLISH, but no positive response. Seems govt adamant over this to prove that karnataka achieved. Not more than 10days left. Pl decide. Ppl, pl raise ur voice against this loudly.🤝🙏

Respected Sir, You should be knowing the amount of stress going on inside PU students mind, kindly re think about this matter, after the English exam the students should be writing JEE,NEET, KCET COMEDK , one after other and other competitive and engineering entrance exams also, so it's a request to kindly re think over this matter , our future depends on this one day, if at all we write English exam on 18 the Unfortunately if any student had been a carrier of this virus but did not show any Symptoms then eventually the students sitting in the same Hall may test positive and their one month is destroyed in the treatment then when we'll study for the exams and when we will be writing the other exams.
That's all spread this message.and Sir,I request you to rethink over this matter and take a decision. Thank you
    Regards.

    Respected Sir,
Since certain issues have to be overcome in the present scenario.. we dealing with life Vs career.. and both are important to be balanced a well maintained precaution and a balance situation relative to results and admission will ease the scenario.
Certainly a bridge course at all levels is the need when ever school s, colleges commence.
Vocational training is much needed at all levels from 8 th to help the students to be more sustainable to challenging situations.
Certainly the education system needs to re worked with balance of academic and certain compulsory intership on various sectors for. Min 3 to 4 months.
To help the students overall development and to rise above any situation.

Instead of conducting English exam for board can declare results on the basis of exams conducted for 5subjects. English marks are not essential for getting admission for higher studies. Main subjects marks are essential and main subjects exams are over. One time exemption can be given due to the unavoidable circumstances.
