Udupi, Jan 29: The 9th Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki Smriti Sangeet Samaroh will be held at Manipal on Sunday January 31.

The event is being organized by Sangeeth Sabha, Udupi, in association with Manipal University, and Dr T M A Pai Foundation.

The concerts by various artistes will be held at the Counselling Hall, manipal.edu Building, the main building of Manipal University, from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm and again from 3.00 pm to 9.00 pm.

The morning session will have three concerts while the one in the evening will have four. Vocal performances will be by Devaki Pandit (Mumbai), Shounak Abhisheki (Pune), Sudhakar Deole (Ujjain), Vasantrao Marathe (Pune), and Reshma Bhat (Honnavar).

Ratnakar Gokhale (Pune) will give a violin recital while Ankush Nayak (Mangalore) will play the sitar.

The accompanying artists on the harmonium will be Sudhir Nayak (Mumbai), Vivek Bansod (Ujjain), and Shankar Shenoy (Udupi). Harshad Kanetkar (Pune), Satvijay Bhat (Udupi), Ranga Pai (Manipal), and Dinesh Shenoy (Manipal), will provide accompaniment on the tabla.
