M'lore: BJP Dist District Committee Office-bearers’ List Released

Mangalore, Feb 3:
BJP Dakshina Kannada district committee president Padmanabha Kottary released the latest list of office-bearers here on Tuesday February 2.
 
K P Jagdish Adikari, Nithin Kumar, P Kushalappa Gowda and Pushpalatha Gatti (vice-presidents), Prasad Kumar, Sanjeev Matandoor and Shayana Jayanand (chief secretaries), Devdas Shetty, Shailaja K T Bhat, Santhosh Kumar Rai, Satish Kumpala and Bhagirati Murulya (secretaries), Ramesh S (treasurer) are the new office-bearers of district committee.
 


Preparations for Gram Panchayat Polls
 
Speaking on the occasion, Kottary said that preparations are underway to prepare the ground for the party in the forthcoming polls of zilla panchayat, taluk panchayat, gram panchayat and co-operative societies in the district. The emphasis will be laid to strengthen the party at the booth level. Meanwhile the plans are being chalked-up to involve the party activists effectively, by forming booth-level committees and local committees, explained Padmanabha Kottary.
 
Replying to a query by media persons, Padmanabha Kottary said that DK district committee will respond to interim report of Justice B K Somashekara Commission on church-attacks, based on the reaction of state administration.
 
District in-charge minister J Krishna Palemar, Karnataka Coastal Development Authority chairman B Nagaraj Shetty, MLAs N Yogish Bhat and Mallika Prasad, local leaders Srikar Prabhu, Sulochana Bhat, Sharatchandra Shetty and Chandrahas Ullal were present.
