Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Jun 22: A gang had intercepted a vehicle that was transporting beef from the slaughterhouse at Kudroli here to the meat market at Kankanady. Reportedly, the vehicle driver was also beaten up. Relating to this incident which happened on Sunday June 21, the police have arrested five persons.

The arrested youths happen to be Deexit Kumar (19) from Suratkal Hosabettu, Kuchigudde Raju Poojary (19), Attavar Santosh Kumar (31), Balachandra (28) and Rakshit (22) from Ullal.

Vehicle intercepted by the miscreants

It is said that Rashid (57) from Kudroli was carrying 200 kg of beef in his auto rickshaw tempo for being delivered to Zakir who runs a beef shop at Kankanady market when a gang which arrived in a car and two-wheeler followed the tempo and blocked it near Falnir. The gang reportedly attacked the tempo driver Rashid, and damaged the tempo. The gang members are said to have poured kerosene on the beef stock inside the tempo. By then, a large number of people had begun to gather. As such, the gang members ran away, it is said.

Kadri police, who have registered the case, are investigating further.

Readers, we have to be honest and accept harsh reality, that " Beef Factor " is merely an alibi for unrest, in our society !!! My city of Mumbai, is considered as the melting pot of India.... yet beneath the relative calm surdace, there is simmering distrust, between communities !!! Just scratch the surface of this bustling metropolis and you will instantaneously feel fault lines.... Suspicion and Hatred !!!! Anger flares up when demarcated " Status Quo " between these communities are altered or voilated !!!!

The only solution to stop this madness is to begin online campaign to stop beef export. Then the government will wake up. Government benefits a lot from beef export and wants to stay in power by instigating communal strife. What a pity, that this contradiction idiots can't see as we are already communally brainwashed.

Appreciate the quick action by the Police! Thank you sirs. See that the democratic, republic, secular fabric of our Country is respected, maintained and upheld. Each one is free in this country to practice ones own faith, have ones own eating habits, dress with modesty according to ones own taste, relate to others according to ones own choice and liking, have a job of ones own capacity, talent and qualification etc etc etc..... There should not be restriction on these matters.
Take control of the misguided, brainwashed goons who hinder, harass and create nuisance to the ordinary citizens of this Country. We want to live in peace and dignity especially during these difficult times of pandemic and turbulent boarder issues.

We have a Goshala here, where all stray cattle, injured, aged, sick, etc are sheltered with a noble intention of protecting them from being stolen and also to keep them fed with fresh grass and nutricious oil cake. At first sight, it looks like a humane service aimed at alleviating the pain of innocent animals.

However, the number of cows in the shelter keeps dwindling drastically with each day. One might conclude that it is due to the death of aged and sick cattle. But, it gives way to suspicion when the person assigned to take care these cattle gets richer directly in proportion to the cattle that disappears. He number of gold chains and bracelets have made the locals to distrust him and nobody is willing to send their cattle to his custody.

Why are you trying to be blind and deaf. Do you get commission for these beef export factories. If you are sincere and real hindu, agitate in front of these beef export factories and get these factories closed for ever and also ask the Govt to declare cow as national animal and even milking the cows should also be banned. how come for you beef is non-veg and milk from same cow is veg. this is ridiculous. There is no guarantee that these type of 'lynching' will stop in Karnataka. So far, three states have given legislative backing to the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court. Manipur was the first state to do so followed by Rajasthan and West Bengal. Rajasthan and West Bengal have used the Manipur law as a template. Last month they enacted a law to prevent mob lynching in their respective states. The Supreme Court’s guidelines to prevent lynching are at the heart of the laws passed by these three states.
The laws passed by the Manipur, Rajasthan and West Bengal have incorporated most of the Supreme Court’s guidelines. These laws define lynching as an act of violence by a mob on the grounds of religion, caste, sex, place of birth, language, dietary practices, sexual orientation, political affiliation and ethnicity. They also define “offensive material” whose spread has to be checked and what constitutes a “hostile environment”. But the laws of the three states are not entirely similar.

The dastardly act of lynching has no easy solution. The responsibility of state legislatures should not be limited to enacting a law providing strict punishments.

It is time for Karnataka BJP government to implement Supreme Court guidelines. A US government body monitoring international religious freedom has recommended that the state department include India in the list of “countries of special concern,” joining a group of 13 other countries that include China, Pakistan, North Korea, Saudi Arabia and Russia. The OIC is already mentioned they are taking the matter to United Nations.

It is President of India responsibility ask state governments to formulate strong laws are just one way to prevent mobs and their illegal acts.

    Jai Hind

    Good Job

During Election time Local politicians pay hefty money apart from unlimited booz & Food to our brothers . They are also given a promise that all pending cases in the police station will be discharged once their god father is elected.
All is done according to the promise . But now who will give them money for the rest of the 4 years to survive ?

Dear brothers please do not depend on politicians or Local Goons, if your sister needs to get married you need money right ? when your mother is in the hospital you need money right ? Will they help you ? They disown you coz they get lot of young people like you every 5 years. This is same like modeling business.

Remember these people do these acts with official bail in hand. So arrest and release are common.

But the tragedy of Mangalore will be its youth. If we had seen the recent incidents in Mangalore where murders were committed either at Bondel, Mudshedde or the moral policing at Kottar and falnir , most of the people are in the age of 18 -25 years. That is prime of their teenage and youth. There are few people above 30 or more in most of the cases.

This means the level of education or job opportunities has come down in Mangalore and people are not having any other work to do. This is a very dangerous trend . Even some of the murders done by these teenagers are within their religion and not outside.

It is time the police and administrative authorities see the seriousness.Else Mangalorean teenagers are treading a dangerous path due to the ambitions of the few fake leaders
