Mumbai, Jul 7 (IANS): Dismissing speculations, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut categorically said on Tuesday that the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra will complete its full five-year term.

"There are no disagreements among the three allies - Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party and Congress -- and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is doing a great job, paying attention to the smallest details. It's not a 'khichdi' (mess), but formed by three parties with experience and senior leaders," Raut asserted.

His statements came at a media conference a day after the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party leader Narayan Rane slammed the coalition government on various counts and demanded President's rule in the state.

Earlier, Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis had also attacked the government on several points, including its handling of the Covid-19 crisis, and other leaders have hinted at alleged differences among the ruling allies.

"There may be differences of opinion but there are no disagreements. I have personally discussed this with NCP President Sharad Pawar, NCP state chief Jayant Patil, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, Congress state President Balasaheb Thorat, and all decisions in the state are taken consultation with the CM," Raut added.

He said even Pawar is satisfied with the performance of the state government and expressed confidence that it will last its full tenure, adding that Pawar visited the CM's residence on Monday as a "father figure".

On the recent friction pertaining to abrupt cancellation of transfers of 10 Deputy Commissioners of Police in Mumbai and 5 Sena councillors of Parner in Ahmednagar defecting to the NCP, Raut said these were small, localized issues and "must not be politicized".

Admitting that there may have been some communication gap owing to the corona crisis, Raut made it clear that all decisions are taken after discussions among the three partners and in consultation with the CM.
