Dammam: Quwwatul Islam Celebrates ‘Thodarina Sobagu'

Dammam, Mar 2: A grand Get-together organized in the name ‘ Thodarina Sobagu’ by Quwwatul Islam Association Thodar was held at Al Zohra Isthirah in Dammam recently. It was, in fact, a feast time for BEARY community as large number of BEARYS from Dammam and Al- Jubail had gathered to participate in the event. People of Thodar spread in places like Jeddah, Riyadh were present in Dammam to witness the first ever Get- together organized by People of Thodar. The program was a grand success in every respect starting from venue selection to food and stage program.

The program began with the recitation of Quran by Janab Badruddin and translation of it in Beary language followed . Janab Mohammad Shareef Jeddah, the president of Jeddah unit of QIA, welcomed the gathering and explained the purpose of the event. Janab Iqbal made a presentation on activities of QIA and Thodar.
 
Janab. B Mohammad, a senior member of Quwwatul Isam Association, who is going to leave Saudi permanently to settle back home, was felicitated on the occasion for his self less service to the community throughout his 23 years of stay in Saudi Arabia.
 
An open Quiz Program and ‘ Kavi Goshti’ were the main attraction of the day. Janab Kamarudeen conducted the quiz program. People enthusiastically participated in the quiz program.
 
QIA had conducted a cricket tournament on 12th February in connection with ‘ Thodarina Sobagu’. The Trophy presentation for the winners of QIA summer cricket trophy was also held on the occasion. The winner AMACO cricketers and the runner up NGC Jubail were awarded along with man of the match, series, bowler of the series etc. Janab Hidayathulla proposed vote of thanks in the end.
