Dubai: Entrepreneur, philanthropist Wilfred Menezes Moodubelle dies at 51

Dubai, Jul 20: Well-known community leader from Moodubelle, Udupi, Wilfred Menezes died after suffering a massive heart attack here in Dubai on Monday, July 20 afternoon. He was 51.

Wilfred who owned Omnitech Group in Dubai which has branches in New Delhi and Doha Qatar, was successfully running the business for the past few years. He leaves behind his wife Reena and three children.

Wilfred was instrumental in founding Bellevsion in Dubai back in 2001. Through his anonymous philanthropic work, he was reaching out poor and needy time to time. Even running business in abroad, he was very active in social service activities in his native, Udupi and Mangaluru. He had taken special interest to educate poor students by helping them in their school expenses.

Jovial in nature and kind-hearted Wilfred will be missed by not only his family members but hundreds of well-wishers and friends.

Funeral details will be announced soon.

Note: Since Wilfred’s father is yet to learn about his son’s death, family members are requested not visit his house back in Moodubelle.

Can't believe our friend Wilfred is gone. He visited our home in Vamanjoor back in January and we had dinner together. We have such fond memories of that evening.

Me & Wilfy were MBA mates, we both did our Masters in same college during 2000. I know him & his family & friends for almost 20 plus years. You will not find a Jovial person like Wilfy. I was his banker for many years . Its truly a sad day not only for me, for his entire friends & family. Till last night he was on chat with our group friends on whatsup. So shocking to hear that he has left us.

Shocked and Saddened by the untimely demise of Wilfy. A kind,gentle and generous human being whose zest for life combined with a charitable bent and positive attitude made him very popular in the Community in Dubai and his hometown.
The Catholic Community has lost a great leader and Philanthropist and I a very dear friend.
My heartfelt Condolences to his wife Reena and the children.
May his soul RIP.
