Kasargod, Aug 3: Kasargod district administration has decided to reintroduce daily pass facilities for interstate travel subject to certain conditions. The decision was taken in a meeting conducted between the Kasargod district administration and the Kasargod district in-charge minister held on Monday, August 3.

Earlier, the Centre had issued guidelines which permitted people to travel from one state to another. Owing to this rule, several people were awaiting the opening of the Kasargod border.

Travellers holding passes to travel to and fro to Kasargod will have to undergo coronavirus tests once every seven days. People travelling for the purpose of weddings and funerals will be allowed to travel after they have undergone Rapid Antigen tests.

The Kasargod district administration meeting held under the leadership of district in-charge minister has stated that those who are commuting for work reasons will be issued passes. However, there is still no clarification on whether the passes will be issued only at the Talapady border.
