Mangalore : 'Verve-2010' National Level Management Fest at AIMIT

Mangalore, Mar 18: The inaugural of VERVE-2010, the National level Management Fest conducted by the students of the MBA dept of AIMIT, St Aloysius College, Mangalore was held at 4 pm on 18th March 2010. Mr Albert Tauro, Chairman and Managing Director of Vijaya Bank was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the fest by lighting the lamp. Fr Joseph Rodrigues Sj, Rector, St Aloysius College presided over the inaugural function.
Dr. Sridhar S, Dean of the MBA department welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief guest. Mr Santhosh Shabagh, the faculty coordinator of verve-2010 introduced the theme of Verve-2010 which is “Corporate Speed”. He emphasized on the speed of growth in the corporate world and wished all the participants to be ready to launch into competitions with alacrity, and strive towards becoming the winners.
Tauro in his inaugural speech spoke about the global crisis which has affected the economies worldwide. He also spoke about the pace at which the corporate world, including banks, are speeding up towards progress.
Fr Denzil Lobo SJ, Director congratulated the students of MBA dept for organizing the event. Quoting an incident in the life of Napoleon Hill, the author of “Think and Grow Rich”, he told those gathered that it is not enough to dream to climb the ladder of success, but one needs to work hard towards achieving goals in life. He stressed on the importance of ethics, at personal level and also at the corporate level.
Fr Jospeh Rodrigues SJ, the Rector congratulated the students for organizing the fest and in his message asked them to be cautious while speeding ahead to achieve the goals in life. He also stressed on the importance of personal character and wished all the participating teams the very best.

For the next two days the twenty teams from various part of the Country will taken part in various events and one tea will be judged the champions.
